If this latest HTC One X9 teaser is to be believed, then it seems like further corroboration that the HTC One X9 and the HTC One M10 really are two separate devices. The teaser obviously suggests that the X9 will be revealed on Christmas day, proudly declaring it to be a "Merry X-Mas." (How clever & droll.)

Additional reports also seem to confirm earlier rumors that the One X9 will be a mid-range device, with an octa-core MediaTek SoC, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 MP camera, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Additionally, this latest teaser seems to further suggest that the device might end up as a limited release to Asian markets.

Of course, it's hard to predict what HTC will do anymore, so we will keep an eye out for further developments. Here's our dedicated HTC One X9 section for further discussion: HTC One X9 | Android Forum at DroidForums.net

It's funny how an octa-core MediaTek SoC, 2 GB of RAM, a 13 MP camera, and a 3000mAh battery is now a mid-range device. Wasn't too long ago when it was a Flagship...

HTC announced today that the X9 off contract will sell for $370.
Looks like HTC has decided to knock heads with China's affordable phone manufacturer Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo and Vivo who dominate that price tier in China.
It has also been confirmed that the phone will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display (likely IPS), an octa-core MediaTek X10 chipset (8x Cortex-A53), 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a dedicated microSD slot (up to 2TB), a 3,000 mAh battery and dual Nano SIM slots. Radio-wise, you get the regular UMTS 3G (850/900/1900/2100) plus China Mobile's TD-SCDMA 3G (1900/2000), along with dual-mode LTE (FDD bands 1/3/5/7/8/28; TDD bands 38/39/40/41).

We will need to wait to see if the X9 will migrate to the States.
