Not coming at that date no matter what this guy says. He's wrong............

Would if he meant the 21st? :D
I'm just making bold predictions based off 100% pure unadulterated raw and ugly speculation.

It makes sense to me though LOL

Judging the TB's track record, im inclined to believe ck. lol they need to rebrand the phone the 4G flagship HTC Curse. It would probably make more sense. The thunderbolt hasnt exactly had a quick release like the name says. :)

I wonder if that HTC Imran dude had any idea the kind of firestorm a tweet like that sets off in our little online TB community... I think he took it down either because he was onto something and his boss told him to, or he found out he was (or could be) wrong and didn't want the publicity once the fire spread to the tech blogs.

A 32gb micro SD card is priced $50-$75. At cost and in bulk for a manufacturer -- a lot less than that for an SD card. The 32gb card simply doesn't justify the $299 price point. I would rather they just leave it out so that I could either buy my own card for less or use the existing 8gb card from my current phone until I need the space.

Sorry, but that is wrong. The SD card that will come with the TB cannot be found at retail for any cheaper than $85-90, and more like $100+ at most places. 8GB will get filled up so fast with apps and music. The 32 is needed and worth the extra cost of the phone. Even if it did not come with an SD card included, it would still be $250 discounted because its VZW's first LTE phone. You could not get an equivalent SD card than will come with this phone for a better deal.
I guess I'm not making my point clear enough. Let me explain it a different way... The advantage of an SD card is that it's portable, removable and you can switch it out with other compatible cards. As a user, this gives me a lot of freedom to decide what I want to do for storage.

By shipping with the best possible SD card at launch -- HTC and Verizon have already made my storage decision for me in order to justify charging me a premium price. What's the point of making it an SD card when it's already maxxed out?

I would rather they knock a $100 off the price and let "me" make that decision. Since "I" know better than "they" what my own needs. For me personally, 8gb internal and 8gb SD card is more than adequate.

It's nit-picky, but I've had weeks to stew over this TB launch and it's just getting harder to justify $299 with other competing phones just over the horizon. I can't shake this feeling that within 1 month of launch, the same phone will be offered for $150 once they have gotten the early adopters. Telling me that it's because of the SD card is just throwing salt in the wound.

Well, actually Amazon.com: SanDisk 32GB microSDHC Memory Card (Bulk Package): Electronics you can get the same SanDisk card for $59.80 at amazon.com right now.

First, if they did not include the SD, it would not knock nearly $100 off the price tag, maybe $50 at the most (if you were lucky). Second, if you can't afford it, get a different phone. Third, you are in the minority of people who would be satisfied with 8GB of storage. Fourth, it is VZW's first LTE phone, it will not drop below $200 for quite some time, no way within a month, probably more like summer or fall (if even then). The only phone on the horizon right now that I can see causing its price to drop would be the Bionic, the LG and Sammy are much less likely to affect its price.

Why don't you pop the SD out at purchase, insert your old smaller one, sell the new one on eBay, and recoup some costs. There, your problem is now solved. I understand that is more of a hassle than you want, but you don't really have a choice in the matter, it is what it is.

Yeah, because that's a class 2 card, not a class 4 card like the TB's. Prices vary greatly when going between different classes.
