Huge dialer storage size (88mb)..

So my dialer storage on my original Droid is 88mb. I don't make a ton of calls. I've looked around the net and have seen suggestions of deleting texts, moving pictures from text messages to your SD card, clearing out call logs, even clearing out pictures on your phone. I've done all four things and my dialer storage is STILL 88mb. I don't know what's going on. I've been tempted to hit "Clear Data", but I don't know if I'll lose my contacts and everything. Help!

Try something like cachemate to clear out the cache and see if that helps.

I've had much more of a thourogh cache wipe by using droid overclock then cache mate (111mb to 20mb on average). Not sure if it's a mistake though. So i got rid of cache mate and do it through d overclock

Delete your text messages. Guessing you have sent pics via text messages - that will quickly increase your dialer storage size.
