It was the same on the D3. It has a ghosting problem but the trade off is power efficiency and it's very good in direct sunlight. Coming from a GNEX and I'm very happy so far.
yeah it does...i can deal with a blue tint but the blurry text i dont know about
oh well, ill sell this on ebay when next slider comes out and buy retail slider

Really? You like the trade offs of the droid 4 over the Gnex? I don't have a G Nex myself, so I'm not going to defend it. But you didn't want a Razr, Razr Maxx, or Rezound? All 3 of those don't have the issue that your are claiming the D4 has.
It is pretty noticeable, I'm gonna give it couple of weeks and see how everything else performs before I jump ship. Pretty annoying once your keyed into it.
the blurry effect is annoying but.....i wonder if it has a break in period... other lcd's i had def needed a number of hours to break in. i dont know if it will ever make a difference but who knows. the screen can get a bit annoying but i am looking for it
I can easily read e-mail. A side note: it's so quick to open and close e-mail messages! I think I'm going to be amazed by the speed of this thing for a while
"Load up gmail and scroll slowly...the text gets so blurry its almost unreadable"
The e-mail only is blurry when I scroll, of course, but other then that it's pretty easy to read. So yes, I couldn't read and scroll at the same time, but that doesn't seem to bother me. I read some e-mails from here before I read this post and I had no trouble.
I must have bad eyes because it looks just fine to me. This is going to be muuuuuuch better than my D1. Obsessively reloading this site and DL is over ;D
Its definitely not a deal breaker for me. Everything else has been very good, so far with as much as I've played with it, setting it up and so on the battery is holding up pretty good and will only get better after a few charge cycles. Keyboard is amazing to me so far.
The screen is definitely not my favorite part of the phone... That said, it's livable, and the homescreen blurring seems to be Blur doing some not so great looking animations.
Seeing the screen in direct sunlight makes it worth it to me. I don't need theater quality on a cell phone. I don't plan to invite my friends over to watch the super bowl on my phone.
