I really miss custom gmail notifier in tbolt problem solved

I always used the gmail notifier app in my old droid 1. It allowed you to set a wav sound on the sd card as a notifier sound for gmail. I was VERY disappointed that in my htc tbolt the app only lists the standard boring notification sounds. Is there any app that will allow.me to use a wav sound that i import as.my gmail notification sound. I had a great sexy female voice saying Gmail for.my notifier. Now i only have bleep-burp. Just not the same. I do not choose to root my phone.

Maybe try using RingDroid to turn the wav file into a ringtone? That's what I had done on my Droid.

Also, I presume you have downloaded the Gmail Notifier app to your thunderbolt and aren't trying to do this within the native thunderbolt settings or gmail app?

I am trying to get Gmail Notifier to work with my new Fascinate. When I attempt to set the ringtone, the app just crashes. I have sent an email to the developer but I am wondering if the app is not compatible with Samsung's variation of android.
