I want my phone to light up when I get a text.

Or you can use Tasker and setup a task to do this, you can even create a popup of the received txt and jump to the sms app.

I do this because I love the features of Handcent, but really rather prefer the look of the stock sms app.

PS- Otherwise, its not the end of the world.....so calm down.

Hey cpjr, could you post your sequence on how you did this with Tasker? I just purchased Tasker (AMAZING App BTW!) and I am looking for more ways to play with it...thanks
 
Speaking on the topic of options I have to sadly say my old touch pro 2 has more options then Android or IPhone. The text/notification options and power control options where much better. But all in all I like Android more... Faster and more stable.

But if you want absolute total control over your phone windows mobiles is the way to go. They just need to start making their phones a little more powerful to handle the os. They work great for about a month and then the system gets clogged up and you are pretty much forced to hard reset...
