ICS this week?

Not really it will just become the Jelly Bean watch forum
This is great news as it seems ICS is officially rolloing out. Sad thing is once everyone gets it, this epic thread will die. Lol. I enjoyed it. Now just waiting for my turn to taste the icecream in sandwich form.

Ok, no ICS for me yet :(
But i got a Q.. on bloatware. Lol.
Once you disable it, what happens other than it no longer running? Does the icon disappear? Will you stop getting update notifications?
Both of those things are so annoying. Only problem ive had with android yet.

I don't want to make you more upset but, it must be completely random because I've had mine less than a month, and was lucky enough to be a ota first wave recipient

To add to this....your disabled apps are at the bottom of the apps list in Settings/Apps or Manage apps. I usually just look under All.

Beyond those who were a part of the soak, the order in which users receive the update is 100% random. It doesn't matter when you bought your phone, where you're located, how long you've been a Verizon customer, what the specifics of your plan are, what color your shoes are, how many licks it takes you to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, or anything else someone comes up with. You could have two RAZRs in the same house, on the same plan, that were purchased at the same time, and one might get it a week before the other. The waves go out to random IMEI numbers, and there's no rhyme or reason to who gets it when.

I have been with Verizon about 14 years and all the updates have always been random. I probality wont get it pushed to me. Most likely i will have to pull it when BIG RED decides it done playing with your head, and let you download it. LOL

I can report the first person I personally know getting the update. My buddy's wife received the update today! She did not get the email.

I haven't seen it yet, I'll get to see it in a few minutes.

Seems logical that another wave of notifications would go out this evening and then the recipients would receive the push overnight, right? May be wishful thinking, but I hope it's true, and I hope I get the notification!

I also can't see the rumor that everyone will have ICS by the end of tomorrow being true. Seems to defeat the purpose/necessity of waves.
