idea for other batteries

Even if for some reason your battery door did break I'm sure that they will be offering replacement covers eventually like they do for most phones. It shouldn't be more than $10.

Exactly right about the battery doors. And even then theres a nice method to get them off without snapping it every time. If they do release an update and we get better battery life with stock batteries then these 1500 mAh batteries will last the whole day lol.

how do you get it off without snapping??

i got a imp500 (5000mah) external battery that charges the phone without wires and a car charger (droid from amazon) to help the battery issue (i hope).

I ordered the my touch ones tonight so we will se how they do when i get them on april 1st ill keep u posted

me and the other guy will let you guys know.

im a bit newbie myself, but should we charge the mytouch ones fully without them being in the phone yet? or should we charge them in the phone? and drain to 0 then charge to 100%? or charge as soon as i get them?

idk but i coulda sworn i ****ed by LG dares battery up b4 from not charging it right -___-

and to get it off without snapping it everytime you just pull back a lil on the top theres a slot, then one of the corners will be semi popped off, just pull that back a little and the thing just falls off. really easy to do. and to get it back on just push firmly on it, you dont gotta slide prongs into a female end or anything like that.

Apparently some guys over at thunderboltforums.com have confirmed that the mytouch 4G batteries are compatible:

Extra Battery for HTC Thunderbolt?
nice find. thats good to know then that theyll work.

1500 mAh might actually work so :)

AND, they are selling 2 1500 mah batteries for the thunderbolt too, same exact picture as the mytouch batteries. same thing bet.

ok, well it looks like the Tmobile MyTouch 4G uses the same battery as the Tbolt.

someone correct me if im wrong, but htye look the same, and ive read a few places that they are the same.

Amazon.com: T-Mobile HTC myTouch 4G 2x1500mAh Battery better than OEM + Wall Travel Dock USB Charger also for Merge TMobile GSM BD42100: Cell Phones & Accessories

that offers 2 1500 MAH batteries and a battery charger for like $28... i might get that OR theres a mytouch 1650 mah battery and i might get that.

idk, anyone else know any batteries that will work on the Tbolt?
i have never seen a HTC battery that looked like that i would def have to say fake

has anyone bought and used the seidio 1600 mha battery???? how is that comparing to the stock 1400??

From what I've read, the seidio batteries give about 2.5 hours more juice. I'm hesitant to buy only because I've heard bad things about seidio batteries in the long term

Yeah seido suck down the road. And these aren't htc batteries. These are from a different company. Read reviews for them with the my touch 4g and were deemed better than the stock my touch battery. Woot

this is off topic, but my screen protector came in the mail today. Zagg makes some pretty good screen protectors and their warranty, you cant beat it.

Well today i turned my 4G off and used 3g all day with background data off and my brightness to 33%. I unplugged my phone at 7:30 am, used it moderate-heavily and currently have 34 % battery left. Its currently 6:58 pm....not to bad
