If October release is true...

I returned my Bionic, back on the OG now. I missed my baby.

The Bionic is AWESOME. Seriously. I have just always wanted a Nexus. I remember the rumors back when I got the OG, that the Nexus One was coming to verizon. Heck, I even tried to order it directly from Google before getting the OG.

I was disappointed to realize that verizon wouldn't get it. Little did I know.... they wouldn't get any of the next Nexus'. Unfortunate.

This Nexus Prime on verizon rumor is so very welcomed, and embraced by me. I was hoping the Bionic would quench that burning desire for the Nexus, but it absolutely did not. I did enjoy using it, but it wasn't.... "IT".

Will have to upgrade eventually, but will hold on to the OG as long as I can hold out for my "IT" phone.

Nexus, I beg you... please grace all of we, the verizon customers, with your presence. We promise to love and take care of you, for a minimum of 20 months!

Oh itll come to vzw alright, but as the DROID Prime and gayed up like only vzw can do. Id be so disappointed if they took a nexus device and sandbagged it like that.

Verizon can make it look like justin bieber got a hold of it and I would still get it. As long as the prime is unlockable and easy to root I don't care.

As long as it has an HD screen, that's all I care about now. The Bionic was a perfect device, but they ruined it with a sub-par screen. We're at a stage in phones where we should be able to get exactly what we want and the Prime seems to be that phone for a great majority of us.

I think you guys just all sold me on the Prime! ;-) Ugh... What to do... What to do! : P The big screen will be amazing! When I got my X it was pretty much the biggest screen around and I got teased about it a lot! Now 4.3 screens are pretty common place. I need bigger! ;)

So would I and unfortunately, according to P3's tweet... that's what's going to happen. I'm going to go pout now.

Its going to be locked on vzw. Theres no evidence to support an unlocked device. Don't know why everyone NEEDS an unlocked bootloader when devices like the d3 and bionic get rooted a week after release. Roms and kernels take some time to dev, so the only thing you accomplish is the ability to remove bloat from day one. <~~~ while an annoyance, its not as important as roms and kernels. I lost my ZOMG UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER attitude when the last batch of devices dropped. It will always be an uphill battle with vzw

Pants to that. Eventually you get tired of fiddling with your phone and you just want to have a good, clean user experience out of the box.

If I can't get that, maybe Android isn't for me.

This isn't a Moto device so everyone can chill out on the locked bootloader crap. This is Samsung, and even if it ships locked down, devs will free the beast soon enough. The hardware on this device alone, should be enough to make every Verizon customer want one. I envision a lot of Bionics and few Vigors being returned in the near future.

I almost feel bad for Motorola, they're going to be losing out on a lot of customers they would have had if they'd have launched back in May or June... Not!

Actually I'm glad they dropped the ball so bad, I'm going to get a much better phone with ICS, I pray for a Nov. 3rd launch (my birthday, best gift google could ever give me). I would love to get it in October, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I agree. With Android heading in the direction of no capacitive buttons in the future, it would really eat away at me to have a device that had them and didn't need them (i.e. Bionic). That extra screen real estate will be really nice!

Amen... I can live with it locked for a while, so long as it's rooted! =P It's the "I'm too good for a locked bootloader" attitude that gets to me after a while! ;)
Just because it's not unlocked at launch doesn't mean it's not going to be unlocked eventually! Took a long time for my DX but now I'm rocking CM7! ;)

No evidence supporting its locked either, Verizon has launched atleast one device that wasn't locked. The appeal of an unlocked device is the Dev following that goes with it, look at the D1, not even close.

And I highly doubt something better comes out two months later, maybe something better will be rumored two months later, but the premier of ICS on a 4.6" screen isn't going to get passed up as quickly as it looks like the Bionic will be.
