I also got mine around then and love it to death. Though mine is the R2D2, it's the same inner workings and I have to say I can't see myself tiring of this phone any time before my two years is up.

I got mine during release week and wish I would've gotten a Galaxy S phone instead. I'm very impressed with D2 development, though, especially with all the set-backs.

Its what Cyanogenmod uses. It boots Gingerbread 2.3.4 off the Froyo 2.2 kernel. Basically a workaround for the locked bootloader
