Way back in college during Cobal we learned the term "spaghetti code" which is a term for source code which has a complex and tangled control structure, especially one using many GOTOs. I have been out of the loop for a few months with my phone. It currently has system verison:5.8.894.XT875.Verizon.en.US, Build number: [K]IN3TX v1.0 Webtop version: WT-1.3.0-108_DBN-24 Kernal version: 2.6.35.7-g83f1a47 vwm736@il93lnxdroid43 #1 So here is my problem. It is so terrible with data drops and now it is almost useless to use the device for voice calls, people can't make out what I am saying. So I thought I would revert back and do the OTA update in hopes of stability. I search the internet and start checking forums (have been researching over the last 2 nights (about 8hrs total) before posting here. When searching the forums I find multiple ways to get to where I want to be. I really can't find a definitive answer on what process I should take given where I am. Don't get me wrong I have found some very promising tutorials like this one: [GUIDE] How To Receive OTAs Again If You Are On A Leak ***Proven Working Manual Method*** - Droid Bionic - RootzWiki - Page 4 I've seen this copied and pasted to other forums as well. Only problem is it states to get the 5.5.886 radio.zip file but the link is broken. So another 1hr into googling the file down. Every time I find a link to the download it's not there. It's like it don't exist. The forums are hard for me to follow because as I read on through the posts they go off topic or don't answer the question or shoot over to somewhere else. Very hard to follow. If you find a tutorial good luck getting the files required to use the tutorial. It’s a catch 22 it seems like. Does anyone have a link that works to download the 5.5.886 radio.zip file? or should I do something else? I really, really have tried to find the information myself before posting. It's getting to the point where I might just step on my phone and turn in an insurance claim.
Any help would be most appreciated,
Ty
