im going to ask this one more time...

I'd say you should do some more research though because there's no reason why you should have to check that option as I have a stock 2.1 Droid and have never had to do this.

well it took abot 20 min to download 500 songs inthe free version for me...o dont recall it closin either i just saw the progress bar and number of songs was complete and disconnected ...sorry if it doesnt work for you...good luck i know it is frustrating.

you guys wont believe this but it started doing the same **** again, closing the folder automatically even WITH USB Debugging on. i am honestly getting sick and tired of this POS :mad::mad:

I didn't read the whole thread but there were some issues with droid and windows 7. I don't know what the issues are really or how to fix them, but I have an alternative for you.... (if you don't have win 7 that point is moot, lol)

There is an app in the market called websharing, just read about it and looked at it, haven't really tested it because I'm at work.. But this program should allow you to transfer files via wifi(3G in some places) and the app.

I say look it up and by pass the usb if you can.

Bring it over to my house, we'll get it working!

:D

I'd like to throw one more thing out there that I've run into, go to home screen>menu>settings>applications>Development and check the USB debugging box. Then click OK

Mine mounts fine with Win 7 but had to check this box to mount on my XP Pro laptop.

Try it.

Someone already posted this and he already did it. He said it worked for a while and now it stopped working.

i don't know how to solve your real problem, but to transfer music you can download an app from the market called FTP Server, and then put a program called Filezilla on your computer and then you can transfer files over wifi. to me it's much quicker and more convenient to just do it this way, rather than finding my usb cable, and doing it the old fashioned way.

It sounds like your USB Storage Drivers are borked. How does the computer handle flash drives and portable/external hard drives?

All I did to put music on my droid was plug in the usb cable to my computer. coose "mount" from the drop down screen when the message came up about the removable media i just closed it. I then opend up the folder on my Droid that said music and just droped and drag all of my mp3 into it. I found out for faster transfer of music and movies I put the sdhc into my laptop and just copy directly. It was alot faster than using the usb cable.
