Impossible App? Wondering if anyone could create this

I use a fantastic app called, "MyBookDroid" to keep track of all my books and comic trade paper backs. It's absolutely amazing. Make "bookshelves", scan the barcode, add book to shelf - Bingo. It downloads covers, finds local prices, has review snippets etc. I love it.

As a comic book fan, I am also a collector of action figures. I was wondering if it would be possible (or if you could point me to some "Droid developer community" where I could request the possibility of something like) an app that keeps track of "toys" or action figures - given that they're still in the box with a readable barcode.

Any other comic collectors out there that may have thought of this, or know of it's already being in existence?

Thank you!
