Incredible 2.2 update letdown

Same problem here as well. I have the original Droid with 2.2 and after reading this thread, it does seem that things started to go South after my 2.2 upgrade battery wise. I get about 8-9 hours of use with light to normal usage. I will look at my 3rd party apps, but like others have mentioned, I really don't run anything much different than others here. Thanks for the thread!

P.S. I HATE the fact that I kill an app and it comes right back (Skype, Easytether, Tikl to name a few). When I say kill task, I mean it!

Coxswainqe, if it is like the Droid, go to Settings from your home menu and select 'About Phone' then select system updates. It will update if there is an update there.

Those apps aren't running. They are loaded in ram and are not using battery or CPU cycles. Android will remove them from memory if it needs to. This is not Windows.
