Individual kernel version

Kernel Version- 2.6.32.9-g55626e1w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1
Rom-Obsidian-2.0.2-DROIDX
Doesn't show me the version i'm assuming .340

Kernel: 2.6.32.9-ga649a2eqgd748@il93lnxdroid09 #1
Build Number: 3.4.2-114
No ROM(other than the leak)
No overclock

Sounds like you were/are inbetween .340 and 3.4.2 lol but how did you get there...

Firmware: 2.3.340.MB810.verizon.en.US
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-g55626e1 w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1
ROM: Apex 1.4.1
OC: None, Droid X overclock installed but not in use ATM

w30471@il93lnxdroid09#1

If you dont have this kernel you are not on .340. This is not a problem if you flashed the 3.4.2 rom however.

Don't mean to derail the topic in any way, I know you are primarily concerned with the Droid X. From my understanding the kernel can be compiled from source from the other phone's sources on moto's site and there is some compatibility. For example, there is no source for the D2 but devs have used the source for the DX. Supposedly the pro maintains compatability also.

So whatever you need these for, perhaps other phones would be of interest to you as well?

Droid 2:
2.6.32.9-g462500f
dbretzm1@il93lnxdroid22 #1

Droid X:
2.6.32.9-g55626e1
w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1

The D2 update came over the air weeks before the DX update was available. Updated the D2 once and have been on custom ROMs since, no idea if any more have been released.

Really you can use any linux kernel that you want. My Droid X has the gentoo remix of the linux kernel running on it. The kernel's are fully swappable for the Droid X and Droid 2. The Droid X is a Droid 2 sans keyboard and large screen.
