Installed 2.1, Still No Picasa In my Gallery

Same as above, no Picasa option. Where the hell is it? To be fair, I didn't wait for the OTA version.

Picasa is there, please see my earlier post.

You say Picasa is there....but don't you mean just the "upload to" option? Isn't there suppose to be a Picasa album?

Okay, so I created an Picasa account and uploaded couple pictures from my phone and there are up but not on the phone. I see what you mean now, sorry my bad.

This may be a problem if you had the new gallery app from before the update.
See if you can uninstall it and reinstall it.
From my point of view this is possible. Although I had the new gallery as part of DroidMod I went back to stock before installing the 2.1 update.

Point being: I had the old gallery when I upgraded and my Picasa works, so I have no idea how the update would affect the Droid for those who still had the new gallery when they did the update.

And in reading what I just wrote, sorry if it sounds confusing... :)

From researching, the sync option between phone and Picasa online is only available through Nexus One. We should let either Google or Cooliris know that the Droid now has 2.1 and give us that sync option as well.

I must have the option because I installed the Nexus Gallery that was ported over to the Droid. I had removed it before I installed the 2.1 update.

Flan gallery application now available for Android 2.0!:

However they think they are one inthe same in respect to 2.1 becasue I could not uninstall it or reinstall it. I just showed as installed.

To all: I have the option on my Accounts and Sync Settings. You just have to click on the Google Sync to see Sync Picasa Web Album. However, for my phone, it says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly" for Picasa Web Albums Sync.

Question, are you rooted and if so which version.

I was thinking since the Picasa sync is only for Nexus One, wondering if we install the ported over gallery-2.1.apk on to our Droids we should have that option to sync.

I am not rooted but had the nexus gallery that was ported installed a while back. I was able to sync the picasa albums today when i read this thread. I just remember having uncheckd that as part of the sync to my gmail account because of the clutter it added to my gallery (lots of albums). When i checked it synced fine and I had all the picasa albums listed. After i turned it back off the albums went away.

I explained before I tried to install that nexus gallery file again to see what happened. The application manager sees it as already installed and I could not uninstall it. So in my case I could not install it on top of the 2.1 update as it thinks its already there.

A question:

All of my photos are linked to my wife's gmail account. Is there a way to link picasa albums across multiple gmail accounts?

I unchecked "Sync Picasa Web Albumns" and checked it again - after 5 mins of syncing I have all my pictures from my picasa album in my gallery.

I don't even have the "Picasa Sync" Option! This sucks!

I am thinking out loud here....

When I manually updated this morning, I noticed 2.1 did not wipe my data. I uninstall the N1 gallery-2.1 app couple weeks back. I am wondering if users that do have Picasa sync enabled still, since 2.1 did not do a wipe/factory reset, 2.1 allowed them to keep the N1 gallery app?
