Installing apk

I'm not sure what exactly is going on, but I can't install apk files such a the amazon app store or a couple others. I'm currently running liberty .6 and not sure if that is in fact the problem or not, but I haven't been able to find this problem anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Menu>settings>applications and "checkmark" the "unknown sources"

My apologies I should have specified that I do in fact have that enabled, not sure if usb debugging would matter either but that is enabled as well.

That was actually the first thing that I had checked. I then unchecked it, and rechecked it just for the hell of it and no luck.

Any other ideas?

The install button isn't able to be pushed, it's like that part of the screen has been disabled. I can push the show more part to see the rights that it wants.. I can push cancel, but the install is locked out
