I'm planning on taking my first vacation outside of the US to Ireland in late May/ early June.

I know the Droid isn't a world phone, but are there any alternatives to where I can use it in Ireland without being charged huge roaming fees? I really don't know as much about this as I should.

On a side note, I'm having troubles planning the trip in general. Any suggestions on sites to use for good package prices for 2 to Ireland would be nice =]

To see what countries have CDMA coverage, go to www.vzw.com/international to view the countries. Unfortunately most of Europe is GSM, so you will be probably renting a phone while there. You can rent a satellite phone from VZW or a GSM phone from Vodafone, however you're probably best to look at options while in Europe.

Thanks for the reply!

It looks like it will be best to rent one while in Europe as suggested.

Any one have any suggestions on my side note? :p
