Is Google sky not working correctly for anybody else?

Ok then...stock and screwy does sound a bit dirty...but rooted and screwy sounds worse...ha ha. I guess this is a compatibility issue with the Razr then...hopefully we'll get the rumored update and get this figured out. You'd think with Google's acquisition of Motorola Mobile they could have prevented this sort of conflict. Oh well, I guess it's like a drug dealer giving a first timer a freebie...get them hooked and wanting more....no, not speaking from personal experience, just observation of others.

Though Google hasn't yet finalised the merger, so Motorola Mobility is still a separate entity. We'll see early 2012, hopefully. It would be great if Google's first move was to unlock all Motorola bootloaders, eh?

That would be a glorious day if all Motorola bootloaders were unlocked! But to my understanding, from what I've read in these great forums, is that Verizon pushes for locked bootloaders. My guess is that they want to charge the customers, who shell out hundreds of dollars already for our addictive devices, for every cent they can. How much is spent on the data plans and how much is spent to be able to use the pre loaded apps that come on our phones just to be able to tether wirelessly? It's getting ridiculous. My thought is this..."if it comes on the phone that we pay for, we should be able to use it for free." I don't see how that's such a foreign concept, as most of you share my view. Dang, you got me on a rant! Lol, got a little off topic, but this is something that should be addressed right?

I'm stock & screwy too. Have the same problem with Google Sky, a couple of other star apps, and a sun app that uses AR too. Stand alone compass apps work fine, but once that z axis gets thrown into the mix it looses its mind.

Mine seems to prefer pointing west. Maybe we can find a couple of others and group together to complete the sphere.

I noted before this was a problem on the X when it first went to GB. It was the getRotationMatrix API, and it was fixed with a GB upgrade. Hopefully, this is the same problem and can be fixed on the Razr. Just do a google search for Droid X google maps gingerbread problems.
