Is The Droid X Outdated?

Joining the conversation a bit late, but.... I would echo the positive comments about the X. If network speed is 3G, getting a 4G phone is basically a waste of money since you will never be able to realize the 4G speed. Call quality of the X was great when it was released and is still great today. The only reason I moved off my X was because LTE is blanketing my neck of the woods and it is so damned FAST. But I stayed with the Moto family by moving to the RAZR.

i think i have talked the girlfriend into getting the droid x over the fascinate. mainly due to improved reception, battery life and call quality.

she is in grad school and travels about 3 hours round trip to school, 2-3 days a week. she travels curvy, winding roads and goes through several dead spots. so she needs to have the best signal possible in case of an emergency. also, for the same reasons, she needs a battery that will last her all day and not die, leaving her stranded somewhere.
