Is the update coming at midnight tonight?

Looks like I lose again. Still no update at 1:13 AM. I guess I'll see what happens by morning. It's likely they stagger the 200,000 over a few hours and not all at once at midnight. My wife's Droid is already running 2.0.1 and the difference is making this wait irritating. I'd run the manual update, but would prefer Verizon do it so I have no problems if something goes wrong.

Guerilla, you should have yours pretty soon. Today is the last of the folks who weren't lucky enough to get theirs yet. Myself included. LOL.

That would be nice, Charlie. Except I thought I had read there are at least 790,000 active Droids. Meaning 780,000 Droids needed the update as of December 8th after the initial 10,000. So that might mean there are at least 2 more roll outs after tonight for the remaining 380,000 (+ any others) if that was accurate.

Exactly how did you get the automatic update? Does it come like an e-mail notification or as I'm hearing, some sort of immediate pop-up notification box that it's starting to update?

Does it work with a docked Droid?

That would be nice, Charlie. Except I thought I had read there are at least 790,000 active Droids. Meaning 780,000 Droids needed the update as of December 8th after the initial 10,000. So that might mean there are at least 2 more roll outs after tonight for the remaining 380,000 (+ any others) if that was accurate.

It was stated that all the updates should be finished by midnight EST of the 11th. So they may have 1 more night of updates. But the majority have been updated.

The update didn't come like a notification. It popped up on the screen making the rest of the screen fade out. It asked me if I wanted to install now or install later. I, of course, chose to install now, lol.

Not sure. I know the update was originally rumored to be released on the 11th. The schedule posted on Boy Genius Report said their Verizon contact told them 1,000 people got it at first on the 7th and then 9,000 more got it at midnight. This would be followed by a 48 hour pause before the next 200,000 would get it (on the 10th at midnight) and then a new batch of 200,000 Droids would get it every 24 hours until it was done.

If you don't get it tonight by midnight, then i would consider using the manual update, but seeing as some have had issues with the update, it's neither here nor there on that.
