Is there a way to delete widgets?

I have a bunch of apps installed on my phone which come with several different versions of the apps Widget (the biggest example of this is the Agenda widget or a CalWidget, they both come with like 3+ different formats of the widget!).

I'd love to be able to delete the widgets I'm not using from my phone so they don't show up in the Widgets menu!

Any ideas? (and yes I'm rooted)

You have to rename them..... Place a .period in front of the file..
