Is there an easy way to remove the clock?

apparently some people have been having success using xultimate

this post has the step by step instructions.

the OP seems to be an on OG droid, but according to the release notes, it should now work with the droid x. i've never used this tool before, so i personally can't say if it will work or how safe it is, so proceed with caution and for the love of god make a nandroid before you go screwing with this stuff!

Thanks for the link. I remember this from about a year ago. I'm trying it now but it fails when I get to removing the clock. I think it's because it thinks that the file has already been patched. Maybe from applying the the services.jar from the earlier link? Anyone have the stock services.jar they'd be willing to share?

Update: I've been fighting with this Xultimate since my last post here (like 3 hours) and have come to what I can only describe as Epic Fail.

Ok, maybe not epic, if I understand it correctly, I think my phone is now deodexed. It passes all the tests when I run test.exe but when I go to option 3 in the advance menu, it errors out saying that the phone is not deodexed. WTF?

I'm sure it's my lack of understanding so maybe someone can shed some light on it for me.
