I'm a college student looking to cut back some dollars (obviously.) Right now, I'm on a family plan, but I'm paying an extra $20 a month for 5000 text messages to other carriers.
Obviously, if I buy a Droid Eris I'm going to need a data plan. That means an extra $30 a month, which would be insane for me to try to pay.
So, would it be feasible to ixnay on my 5000 texts a month (cancel it,) and then go with just the unlimited data, using Google Voice for free SMS messaging?
