Issues? Crashing? Recalls?

No issues here and just recently came from an OG Droid. Loving the Rezound and I think you would too. There was an official OTA that was pushed out but mine updated as it was charging out of the box right after activation. Friendly tip, get juice defender and switch to 3g when you need battery life if getting Rezound.

I honestly tried Juice Defender on my D2 for like 2 hours and hated it. It would turn off my signal and data when the screen was off so I got no updates. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but I though that was a pretty big sacrifice just for a little more battery life.

I had a Bionic, my girl has a Razr, and now I have a Rezound. The Rezound is the best one out these three phones IMO based on my experience. I don't trust Samsung's radio after owning a couple of those. Rezound seems like the best on Verizon to me.

My Dad's Samsung just fried this morning because of an OTA. Try telling a 62 year old how to ODIN that thing back to life again...At the very least the Rezound (locked or unlocked) is serviceable by pretty much anyone. Lock + RUU which can be run from Windows. How easy is that?

Lol. Odin can be tricky at times. Had to run that on my crappy Fascinate all the time.

HTC's are just all around good IMO. Modding/romming is relatively easy and fun, devices are well built, etc. They have many positive aspects. Which I cannot say about the Motorola or Samsung devices I have owned. I am sticking with HTC from now on.

x2 I leave the 4g off until needed and run juice defender. it stays on all day and with minimal use (couple calls, couple texts, maybe little internet) the battery will usually be 75%-80% when I'm going home at 6pm (it gets unplugged from the charger around 6am every morning)

no complaints here since I understand it's more than just a phone and it does what I want so far. very happy with my rezound so far.

Thats the problem that I've had with this phone, and the only problem. When using LTE Switch, going back to 4G seems to take longer than it should. like minutes. Sometimes I want to download something or stream something and the 4G takes a while to kick in. any tips there?

Don't use LTE Switch??? Honestly I had issues with LTE switch and getting my network to turn back on properly afterward. Going through the standard menu to toggle CDMA mode to LTE/CDMA worked infinitely better.

My issues, annoyances, opinions:

Call quality isnt as good as my razr.
Outdoor viewing and viewing angles, especially outdoors.
Phone gets stuck in 1x, needing a reboot to fix it.
I like the notification light on my razr better.
Buttons are too flush.

Most everything else I like about the phone.

Out of what I mentioned, call quality and getting stuck in 1x are things that make me glad I have another phone to fall back to, compare it to. And my 1x issue might just need an exchange.

And I suggest checking out other forums for all these phones. At one site the rezound bootlooping was a big thread. But I never had the bootlooping issue.

Man thats alot of levels down to switch from LTE to CDMA lol. I wish I could pin a shortcut.

Those are all things that can be addressed with updates right? If possibly a custom ROM?

Updates can fix or make some issues better. That's always a possibility. Even exchanges, that's why I mentioned that earlier. So for my issues I will try exchanges, the update didn't fix my 1x issue. Neither did removing the sim card.

And my razr isn't perfect. So far it just has the least annoying data issues. All these 4g phones can have data issues.

I have experienced the 1x a few times now. Has happened both at work and at home where I normally get 3G. Toggling airplane mode has usually fixed it.
