JB problem

Eek, that's not good! His could be a router issue also. Still a good idea to do an fdr.

In addition, router's also provide frequent software & driver updates to keep current with the latest technology. Add a check to make sure that the router's drivers and software are updated.

Depending on your router, on your pc, go to their webpage, look for the model #of your router and it should give you instructions to see if there are software or driver updates.

Darn!

I know in the past I have had to go through settings on my router but don't remember exactly what I did. I currently am connected via wpa/wpa2. It could be that my router was only wps enabled prior but like I said, I don't remember which device and what exactly had to be enabled.

The factory data reset didn't work for me unfortunately. I also tried to connect to the wifi at work this afternoon and had the same issue as my home network. I'm going to try going to the Verizon store, or McDonald's or somewhere after work to see if I can connect to wifi there. Then I'll know if there's an issue with the router at home/work or if it's an issue with the phone.

I very much appreciate the attempt to help. My router is WEP. I do believe the router is the problem, just don't understand why an update would make it less compatible, an oversight? Read somewhere that there were similar problems in the development of jelly bean.

it may be the router, but i still say it's a problem with the jb update because it worked perfectly on ics.

I was having issues with my Bluetooth head set this morning....it would work for a while then just quit..... I un-paired and re-paired them and no problems since. I did notice that my notification sounds from edge now play threw my head set and factory sounds still don't.

That's it!!! That's it! My router was set to wep and I had to enable wpa to get it to connect to all my devices. It may have been for my Razr M when it went to JB but it could have been my thrive, asus transformer, laptop... I don't remember which but I know I had to change it add wpa ability.

Do you know how to go about enabling WPA? I'll give it a shot when I get home and can check my router.

My best advice would be to go to your router manufacturers web site. They should have instructions or tutorials that explain. I have linksys and I always learn new things when I have to go in there.

I tried, don't know if i did it correctly. It didn't work. When i did it, my computer would no longer connect, wrong info stored, but when i followed the same steps to set it back to wep, my computer connected again. So i either messed something up or it didn't work. Guess I'll wait and see if someone else gets it to work

Have you tried connecting at a public hotspot? Does the Razr work? When I bought my Razr I had to upgrade my old router for the Razr to work. All of my laptops, DVR, tablets all connected fine, but not the Razr.
