Jelly Bean for Droid 4 is OFFICIAL!!!!

How the heck did this topic get to the root counter? Is jellybean not loadable on a phone with the root counter tripped?

Because people don't want to void their warranty but still want JB.

How would warranties be voided when Moto/Verizon push the JB update?

If you want JB now, the only way is to root and install one of the JB-based roms such as CM10, AOKP, AOSP, or CNA. But we're talking about the official JB here.

Woah!!.. Seriously?.... I had no clue Droid 4 was getting JB via OTA... I was talking about if people wanted to flash their own rom that they would trip the flash counter... So when is the Droid 4 supposed to get JB from Motorola/Verizon?..

Motorola released a list yesterday saying that the droid 4, bionic, and razr will all get jb. Once sec and I will see if I can find the article

Jelly Bean will be smoother because of Project Butter.

Ics vs JB is like Froyo vs GB it is basicly the same os but more refined. the jump from gb to ics was the most drastic upgrade.

That's the purpose of this thread, to announce that Moto/Verizon will upgrade the D4 to JB, but when? Sometime next year. Hopefully they don't string us along just as they did the the Bionic folks with ICS.
