Just installed it and.... damn lag going to quick settings the first time is still there... Everything else looks nice. Gonna need a couple days with it to really see how the battery usage will be. Quick settings lag isn't really a big issue, just you know... aesthetically unpleasant?

Just came through for me too! And yea.. quick settings is a pain... installing Nova as we speak, no more quick settings lol.

I just installed Jelly Bean on my RAZR MAXX HD a few hours ago. There's not much of a difference. I like the new notification bar, though. My phone was a little slow at first but it's not anymore.

I've downloaded but not yet installed on my rooted MAXX HD. Before I install, and please correct me if I'm wrong I should:

1. Unfreeze or restore any bloatware using TiBu.
2. EDIT: Update binaries in Superuser
3. Unroot using Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper
4. Install update
5. Reroot using Voodoo Rootkeeper

So I need to remove anything else like Superuser or TB?

Correct on the first four and no u don't have to remove superuser ot tb but if u have safestrap installed u need to un install recovery and un install safestrap

To keep root!!!!!
If u haven't updated yet download voodoo ota root keeper from play store open super user app and make sure su binaries are updated then open voodoo and choose backup root then choose temp un root and then u can update to jelly bean but if u have a custom rom, safestrap installed or have deleted or froze any apps u will have to un freeze them if deleted u will have to fastboot back to stock if safestrap is installed u will have to un install recovery and un install app follow this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024423 on how to get back to stock

I knew about updating the binaries in superuser before unrooting, I forgot to list it in the steps above. Thanks for the reminder! I don't even know what a safestrap is so I'm sure I haven't installed and I have never used any custom ROMS. So I guess I'm good to go. Thanks

I have some of the bloatware disabled & the 4.1.1 upgrade went down without a problem.

Couple of different things I can see:
Network mode in Mobile Networks (Settings, More) showed up in Global mode. On the RAZR Maxx we changed that to LTE/CDMA & got way better battery life.
The voice commands seem to work better.
The Google Search bar looks different.
The task bar has a bit different look to it, more info on it. Gmails show up almost complete on it!
HDR mode on the camera.
Fonts on the locked screen are different.
People phonebook has a white background now.... used to be black.
Some new widgets.... Audible low medium & high, Traffic,
Gmail has a new Undo task on it that shows up when you delete an email.
Swipe up on the Home button & get access to the Discover Google Now feature.

Not sure if the Media Share feature is new or not (Settings, More). I'll have to tinker with it later. But it appears to be able to share music, pics & videos to devices over Wifi. Sounds like the "touch" thing that the Galaxy ads on TV are showing?

SUCCESS! Following those steps it went off without a hitch. It was a nail biter though. Thanks for the help krazyace
Bill, The google now app is initiated by an upward swipe on the home key, not a hold.
