Jelly bean update

Dammit. I can't get Matt's Utility to work; drivers will not install and I can't get then from Motorola's website. Am I screwed? Is there a .182 sideload?

Depending on what model phone you have, there are tools. For the XT-912, information is below.

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-razr-hacks/216562-droid-razr-utility-1-8-a.html is what you need, but the actual file you need to download is Droid Razr Utility 1.82 [Windows] For Verizon Droid Razr And Droid Razr Maxx Only - DroidRzr.com if you are going back to .211. I don't know of a .182 roll-back method.

Would like the actual Jelly Bean Circles Widget my wife has it on her phone I am going to see if I can pull the apk now that I am on jelly bean thanks though.

Woke up this morning and tried the update one more time and it actually worked! Now on 4.1 :) everything is working alright. For the record the circles widget is in my app tray, but says its not supported on 3rd party homescreens.

Ditto....yeah I don't want the knock off circles widget in the play store...there's gotta be someone that's able to find t the actual .apk working now since we have JB

No, this will not install over either .214 or .215. The file name (Blur_Version.6.16.211.XT912.Verizon.en.US.zip), has the version number that it will work with in the filename. Any attempts to install on any other version will fail. Likewise, even if you are on .211 but deleted any of the pre-installed apps, the update will fail. You must be in a fully working, stock .211 OS for this update to work.

Getting back to stock .211 can be accomplished by using the Droid RAZR Utility by Matt L Groff, found here (Droid Razr Utility 1.82 [Windows] For Verizon Droid Razr And Droid Razr Maxx Only - DroidRzr.com). The first link for the download is by registration only, but the second link is completely free and will start immediately. Once you download the utility, you'll also need to make sure you have the proper drivers installed on your computer. Then run the utility and follow directions in that thread to flash back to .211. If you are rooted or wish to root and retain root once you update, you'll need to also install the Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper from the menu and then run it, protect root, then temp-unroot before installing Jelly Bean. Then you can install the new Jelly Bean update (if you wish). Once Jelly Bean is fully installed and working properly, you will run the Rootkeeper again and restore root.

Remember, proceed at your own risk.

How long does it take to revert back to .211 using the utility?

It has been on "writing 'system'" for 10-15 minutes.

TIA B

When you say you tried the update, do you mean Over the Air, or via side-loading?
