JRummy's Remix v0.6 - CyanMod 6.0.6.1

I am thinking about removing a launcher to conserve space. Which one do you guys not use the most (droid luancher? helix1?). I will include the laucher in the goodies folder if there are enough requests.

Or.. would you rather have me clean up some ringtones that I think no one uses. I need some space and these launchers are getting pretty bulky.

Just get rid of both Helix's and all of the ringtones. Just my $0.02.

I am new to rooting, this is my first ROM and I am learning as I go along. I am having a few issues with 6.0.6.1 Cyan color. Some have already been mentioned. I dont know if its me or the ROM. I had 2.1 then I rooted through SPRecovery then installed the ROM through the update.zip method. The problems / bugs I am having are :

The notifications panel doesnt give me the option to go back into an existing call. (already mentioned by someone else)
The input fields stay small and typing goes outside the field. (already mentioned by someone else).
I can change my notification tone for my work email to a custom one (stored on SD card) but it keeps reverting back to the default DROID tone. GMail tone seems to stay custom. Havent tried ringtones yet.
Music on btunes and stock music player speeds up like the chipmunks and slows down to normal speed at random.
btunes stops playing when I go from app to home screen. Widget basically won't work at all.
voice search doesn't work at all. I get an "audio problem" window.

Thanks for any help.

On the voice search problem a reboot will probably fix that.
And the notifications for your work email do this: Go to Email>menu>account settings>select ringtone>pick the one you want>(now this is the important part) when you select which one you want push "ok", then HIT BACK (NOT HOME) hope that helps

I guess I thought I already tried to reboot. Rebooting seemed to fix the audio problems with the music and voice search. Btunes appears to be working correctly now. Only time will tell if it keeps. I will have to see how tomorrow goes with the notification tones.

Thanks for your help. I was getting real frustrated.

Personally I NEVER use the droid launcher, it always gets deleted along with Helix Launcher 1. I only use Helix2 or GDE which I do switch between. I think it is a great idea to remove some of the crappy ringtones, I do this any way. If some one wants a specific ringtone they can add it just as I do. I would also get rid of some of the non live wall papers as well I have several that are duplicates that I wish I could remove, but when I do it screws something up.

I'm using green and I seem to be having a few issues. I don't see the G1 sound recorder app, facebook and pandora apps seem to be unchanged. I don't see any new live wallpapers. Also, when I try to install the goodies in terminal emulator I get msgs like this "cp: can't stat '/sdcard/goodies/extraapps/handcent.apk': No such file or directory
added themed handcent"

It doesn't seem to be installing the goodies. BTW I came over from smoked-esque and didn't wipe data/cache.

You have to download the goodies from the first post and extract the folder to the root of your sdcard. For the apps that don't seem like the changed you have to go into the market and uninstall the updates. I think facebook, google maps and google goggles got updates that I didn't see but I will make sure I have them updated next time.

For those getting the error when running scripts that there isn't enough room try removing things you know you won't use from system. After I get this red theme up and running I will do a little update to fix some of these and other issues.

I too don't see the G1 Sound Recorder APP on the Green Theme.

Also, anyone having success enabling JIT?

I also don't see the G1 Sound recording app on the blue theme, is there a script we can use to get it back?

OK I wish I did not have to ask this again but I have tried to get the bootanimation to work with this rom and I can for the life of me figure out how to.

I tried renaming the zip file to bootanimation and placing it in:
System | Media

also tried to place it in:
Data | Local.

And I tried:
SU
SWITCHBA

But its not working.
I was using this bootup image for few weeks so I know the file is ok...

Can anyone please offer me advise as to what to do?
At this point I get the M for the normal amount of time and then the screen goes black during the time it usually shows the bootup image.

Thanks

not sure if it will help but go into terminal emulator type su enter then switchba enter then reboot worked for me

Tried that, but it was a no go.
I did move back into System | Media the original zip file and it worked so I don't know.
I would think it was the zip file but its the same one I have been using for a few weeks now.

Oh well

Thanks for responding

I am using the Cyan Theme but to get to the voice recorder I had to long press on an empty space on the home screen. go to shortcuts> bettercut (get from market)> activity> sound recorder. This will give you the voice recorder shortcut on your home screen.

Make sure it's named "bootanimation.zip". No need to put it in a folder. You can if you want but the easiest way is to just put it on the root of your sd card. That's when you would run the script "switchba". I've done this with about four different boot animations that past day and works like a charm.

What are some ways to remove these launchers? Root Manager?

So its rmhelix2 to remove helix launcher2? because on the first page is says rmlauncher2 for helix2. I am asking because I tried this before and the launcher I was using got deleted, so I did a Nandroid backup, and I havent tried since.

Edit: Yep rmhelix2 worked, you might want to edit your first post
