Judge Tentatively Throws Out U.S. Apple vs. Motorola Patent Case

It looks like the end of Apple's U.S. patent lawsuit against Motorola may be in sight. Earlier today U.S. Circuit Judge Richard A. Posner threw out the case in its entirety with prejudice. This means that not only will no injunctions come from the case, but the patent claims alleged by Apple and Motorola cannot be brought up against the other in federal court again. After having both companies directly present their cases to him, Judge Posner came to the conclusion that neither party had provided enough evidence of damages to warrant an injunction. The judge is calling this a tentative ruling and will write his official opinion next week. Until then he is reserving the right to change his mind, but it's not likely. So far it looks like a win for Motorola, but we'll keep you updated.

Well You gotta Love that... hopefully judges are getting tired of Apples attempts to say they invented everything.
I wish microsoft would sue them for clickable icons. LOL not really. Thats just how stupid Apple is being.
I hope the judge for the Apple vs Samsung and HTC goes the same.

Yea, nk. You read that Apple is having customs hold up Samsung & HTC phones because of thier dispute, so how much longer before they do a total recall of existing specific phone or tablet models already in the users hands? Apple, you can recall phones all you want, but I will get a step ladder and fight you to the death before you pry my android away from me.

In the end this is really just hurting Apple. People are starting to see them as a bully. I have one older Ipod touch and two android devices and was leaning heavily towards a new I-pad this summer because they are fairly nice and it rounds out our options at home. I am now leaning heavily away from purchasing an I-Pad because of all this BS and the shotgun patent approach that Apple uses.

Just for giggles, check out some of their lawsuits over the years. I like the one where they sued actual apple fruit producers and Carl Sagan sued them, lol.

Someone needs to get a shovel and take the head off of the snake. I'm all for apple and other companies because it leads to innovation... but lawsuits aren't part of innovation. The purpose of suing someone is not.to bully everyone you possibly can.

Apple needs to learn this.
