Just bought my Droid

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Droid and I LOVE it! I upgraded from a Blackberry Curve 8330. Talk about night and day differences. I have downloaded a few cool apps for it and plan to root it here shortly. Not sure if I am going to wait for 2.1 to do it or not. Anyway nice to meet all of you.

I just purchased a google droid phone and want to sync all my contacts

The following Microsoft link explains exporting you contacts from Outlook to Gmail. If you export your contacts and import them into the Gmail account you used or created when you setup your Droid they will be automatically synced over the air.

If your contacts change a lot you could use a tool like Soocial Soocial • Hassle-free contacts or others on the Internet to sync from Outlook to Gmail. Disclaimer: I haven't used any of these as I have Google Apps accounts and use the Outlook Sync addin myself.

Basically you need to do Outlook <=> Gmail <=> Droid
