Just got an OTA from Moto this am

Unrooted, now I'm back to the "update not available" message. Damn...could almost taste an OTA there...

If u updated that leaked 5.7.893 from long ago you should already have it. OP is stating that the original leaked updates Are the official ones. If so u might already be up to date. Otherwise those updates are floating around all over the web.

According to the OP post, Moto is saying 5.7.893 is the official UPDATE and it is already available here and at XDA or Rootzwiki. Has been for a while, IIRC. I'm not betting the farm on 5.7.893 actually being it, however, til SOAK TESTERS report what rev. they received from Moto.

What do you think the chances are they are the same update though?

100%. In software u use diff version #s to indicate changes. you do not reuse the same number and have diff versions floating around

Read.his.post. he says moto stated it would update to 5.7.893. Also 5.5.893 is floating around as well all over the web. I would just be patient at this point and wait it out. But unless.the op is lying seems that 5.7.893 is good and if u already applied it ur fine. If u are dying to get the update and havent applied it just google it and again, apply in stocl recovery.

Also. his kernel Rev is what we have been unable to turn back and he is running a lower level Baseband than the 5.7.893 it seems that ICS should go in with no issue since this update was a MOTO SW Leak. I have a pic of my phone info here. View attachment 43141

YES - the 5.7.893 ota updates the baseband/radio to the version that you have. Everything else except some system OS changes are the same. So again if this is true then we that have updated are fine and will have no problems getting the ICS update whenever that comes out.

He's on 5.5.893 but Moto said that he should be on 5,7.893 and will receive it shortly. OP stated Moto said 5.7.893 is the official prior to ICS.
