Just got update

Updated fine here. I un-froze apps but but kept the root prior to taking the update. As has been reported, the update broke the zoot ... i mean root. Re-rooted via aroot, re-froze the junk-ware and all is good.

So you haven't had any issues after not unrooting? I read some posts where people were stuck in limbo between root and unroot now....(aka..rooting pergatory) .....

I'm going to give it a while and then try " aroot" (or whatever it's called) to root again....

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I was just reading posts about recent updates and I'm concerned about my phone now.

When I look at the system version for my Droid Pro it says "Version 2.26.60XT610"

Is it just me or does this seem really old and I should have had a few updates now?

Can someone help me with this? How can I updated my Pro??

I was one of the people stuck in rooting purgatory because I didn't 1) unfreeze and 2)unroot. I had to restore the 2.26 sbf and then re-update and then rereoot via aroot. All is well now (other than gmail acting a little skittish, which i dont think is related). I have superuser now and cputuner and titanium are working perfectly. Also, knock on wood, exchange/corp sync seems to be working smoothly (for once). Hopefully the battery will also improve, fingers crossed.

Oh, and the bug where quotation marks or other symbols would be placed at the end of the preceding word has been fixed. Some minor UI tweaks.

Lastly, my "manage apps" accessed via settings is loading slower than it did before the update, which is annoying.

Hope yall get the update soon and it goes smooth.

Re-booted a few times, and ultimately uninstalled / reinstalled and then uninstalled z4 (just trying to get a clean "uninstall" --- although i doubt my process was necessary). Soft reset and then rooted with aroot. My Pro is running very well now.

Guys do you notice white spots, look like dead pixels, on your screen after the update?

It's most obvious when scrolling up and down the program list

Btw, following instructions to download and install worked very nicely!

i unfroze everything from titanium backup and unrooted with z4 but when i went into settings>about phone>system updates> says "your device is up to date", No update is necessary at this time". I am running system version 2.26.60.XT610.Verizon.en.US

EDIT: just got the update. haven't really noticed a difference yet. does anyone know what changes were in the "update"?

No social updates after upgrade

HI, i noticed no social updates afte rthe upgrade , no happenings no recent status update, nothing.i tried to remove teh FB account and add again, only riends synced and nothing else.
any one having same experience?

Just manually checked for the upgrade and it was there. Im downloading it as I type and will post back later on how it goes. dancedroid

I got the update. When I loaded it and my phone came back on it said the install was unsuccessful. I checked the os # and it is the new one, so I restarrted the phone and I'm assuming I'm upgraded. I'll post my experiences.

I for the update and the screen movement seems to look a little smoother. I like it. Also, I am very excited that they fixed the bug that put symbols (e.g. $,%, etc.) At the end of the last word rather than where the cursor was.

If anyone knows all the fixes and will post them or a link to them I would appreciate it.

I just started today to use it in the notification area, so I have no clue what the problem would be

Anywho, I cannot toggle the widgets directly from the notification area.

I don't know about widgetsoid and the notification area, but I use power control plus to put some toggle-widgets in the notification area---and they don't work up there anymore now that i've updated. not very happy about that.

i tried deleting and re-creating the widgets, and also uninstalling/reinstalling power control plus, but no joy. so now all my toggle widgets have to be on the homescreens.
