Just played with the VZW Nexus for 20 minutes

Wasn't it weird that they just let you play with it without it being connected to anything? I really think that they have a ton of them in the back of the store and they just went back there and opened one up and will probably end up selling the one I was playing with. JMO

It was in a way. The I know the tech so he always let's me play with the new devices when he gets it. In exchange I help him with romming and his car. A good trade if you ask me.

Those are some really sharp pics of the Nexus! Taken with the Rezound? That phone has a great camera.

P.S. I hope you cleaned the lens on the Nexus before taking pics. Has chicken grease finger prints all over it :D

Yes taken with the rezound. I'm growing quite fond of this phone. Had the nexus not existed, I would keep this phone for sure. The pics I took with the nexus came out beautifully, the rezound with a slight edge as far as quality though

Yuk I can see the screen pixels...

:icon_ devil:

It may just be the pic. When I was playing with it, I had to literally look at the phone at an inch away to see it. Normal use, you don't even recognize it. I'm very happy with the display on the nexus. Not as detailed as the rezound, but at full brightness me, the to each other, the rezound looked very dim in comparison. Seeing in direct sunlight isn't a problem with the nexus.

Also have to remember we're blowing up those pixels to about 100x their normal size when we view that photo.

Wow. Guess it just depends on the personality of the rep/manager working at the stores. Mine just said "no we have no info" and walked away. At least the weekend is here. And I gotta tell ya...Im feeling good about next week because obviously some of these stores seem to be getting pretty lax with the phone. Not as tight lipped as before. All good signs for us!!dancedroid

+ 1 for blowing up pixels.

It's helps having friends working at Verizon.

No i completely understand the blowing up of the pixels. Heck, I have the guys finger prints if I need them lol. I was just trying to be funny. :happy3:

I didn't make a call on it. I knew I forgot something. I am sure it'll be all cleared up by release. =/

no offense to the op but I dont get why people still think the screen is 4.65 or whatever. Its 4.3 and the extra is for the buttons. The 4.65 dosnt make the phone "bigger"

??? I love how people say no offense before they disagree with something. Let me try it, No offense but the screen is 4.65". I do agree that the 4.65 " screen on the GN does not translate into a larger phone then one with a 4.3 " screen, There is a deference between available screen real estate and total screen size. Play a movie on the GN and tell me how big the screen is...

Haha, this is my favorite statement of the day.

People keep mentioning this as though the extra real estate is totally worthless and really just the same as 4.3". While that is a somewhat astute observation, people don't think of the times when you can access the full screen real estate. Just look at how honeycomb deals works with the virtual menu buttons when a YouTube video is playing.
