Just used my phone as a debit/credit card at McD's just to get a McFlurry. The people there taking my order and 3 people in line were so confused. I was the man for like 10minutes. :).

Your lucky all those confused people didn't think you were ripping off the joint and called the MAN... lol :p :D

Wish I could use it on mine but I am locked out so I have to get a phone in order to use it. What excuse should I use to let verizon let me get a new one?

locked out? The app should just work You have a Gnex or want one?
I have it and its installed but gives me the secure element has stopped responding error which from what I have read means you have to get a new phone if you want to use wallet again. It was working before but never used it. So I need a good excuse. Maybe I could say my screen randomly freaks out and moves by its self or say I get horrible signal or something else.

You try taking everything back to stock and seeing if google wallet works? I would not think the hardware needed replaced unless it was simply faulty in which case yea come up with something that doesn't work for a replacement :)

That would be pretty crazy if the 'secure element' ends up locked down for some reason and the only way to resolve is replace the phone. Makes no sense really. But who knows could be and if that's the case then Google obviously will have to make adjustments to how that works in the future... lol :)

Already tried that. I restored to stock using the images from google and locked the phone. Still had the issue.

I installed the apk and got my free 10 bucks. But to use it do I still have to unlock the bootloader? or no?
Don't believe so! Someone on Rootzwiki said they even did it without rooting/unlocking their phone so, should be good I'd assume. It's pretty awesome! If you can get it to work, give it a try! Some ROMs however make it come up with errors, so you might have to switch around. I got it first try though.

I used my GWallet App today 3 out of 4 times and it worked!

The BestBuy and two McDonald's cashiers were pretty impressed with it. They were all "Did you just pay with your phone?"

I tried to go to the Verizon Wireless store to grab an extended battery, but they didn't have it or something.

Lastly, I tried to get a pair of touchscreen cold weather gloves from Sports Authority but the store itself was inside a building so I could not get a 3G or a 4G signal. The funds were already in the app but I guess you need to be connected to data to finish the transaction. Lastly, I called GWallet Customer Service and asked them about it and they confirmed that you needed either Wifi/3G/4G for Google Wallet to work.

GWallet is the future. I wish everybody accepted it.

I would love to believe you, but I was fed that same line in college when they said 'everyone will have the smart chip in their credit cards next year'. Yeah, a smart chip. So smart that it only worked in 3 coke machines on campus and had no other use.

Let's hope Gwallet catches on here in the States better than 'smart chips'.

That's awesome man! Definitely glad to see people using it, it's honestly just so cool. Something straight out of a movie.

And yeah, hopefully people don't run into connection issues while trying to show it off.. that'd be embarrassing. :p
