By the way, I did download the app and signed up to use it, but I have not provided a credit card number. You know what's funny. I went to the Google Wallet through Google on my computer. It did not have a record of my wallet account.

I'd be very careful.

Dude there are far easier ways for thieves to steal your identity then through Google Wallet. FYI the accounts are different online versus the Google Wallet on the phone. Like I said either use it or don't

Will GW work if you have a case on your phone? Anyone have any experience using this with a case? Thanks.

Just tried to use mine with my silicone case on it. The app launched fine but the transaction didn't go through.

Got stuck on "Unlocking your account" message and now I can't get the app to open at all. Just FCs from a blank screen every time.:frown:

How did you install Google Wallet? Have you tried to reboot your phone?

Just used mine at a sheetz. I had no problem using it with a case (the Incipio 2 piece case) and my ext. battery. I had set GW up on my standard battery then popped the new ext. battery in, no problems at all, app goes through the initialization then prompts for the pin. I opened the app up while my son picked a drink out then walked up, rested the phone briefly on the paypass receiver, watched it light up, got my receipt and was out the door. It was really uneventful for everyone but me. My phone is totally stock fwiw.

I just clicked the apk file from the XDA site and said install. Was I supposed to do it another way?

Haven't rebooted my phone yet. I lost interest after it force closed lol.

The technology has been out for quite sometime. Anything that has the pay pass scanner thing on the credit card machine will accept Google wallet.

I've been doing the same with my credit card for well over a year now. You just place your card on the credit card machine I stead of swiping it. Same concept applies to your phone with Google wallet.

Download the paypass locator app from the market and see if there are any locations you could use it at. Worth a shot before you take the time to set it up...

Mine was working fine before I used ICL53F from code.google.com (which is the correct factory image for my phone) to try to un-root. Now, regardless of whether I leave it stock or root it, whenever I open GW I just get a black screen and every few seconds "Wallet is not responding. Would you like to close it? (Wait) (OK)" pops up. I started a thread at XDA about it, but so far no one has responded with any information that has explained why it is happening or how to fix it.

Wish I could use it on mine but I am locked out so I have to get a phone in order to use it. What excuse should I use to let verizon let me get a new one?

Did you get this figured out? I purchased an item today from CVS, and then decided I didn't want the PIN on my phone, so I went ahead and Reset the app, then I started getting that "Secure Element" error. I've been reading that once you get that, it also blocks/disables Android Beam. Can anyone confirm this? And is there a way to get back or unlock the secure element?
