[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

Are people finding that they get better life on deprimed_test or primed_test?

I can't keep tracked of which one I should be using. I could have sworn that the OP said primed_test was the newest when I downloaded it but now it looks like deprimed. I'm using primed but not noticing any substaintial gain in battery life over the stock kernel even after tweaking the vsels ....... was wondering what everyones experience with deprimed is before making the switch.

Running deprimed with the primed command and get excellent battery life

I was testing my idle load over wifi last night with an ext3 partition mounted with the ext4 driver...my device maintained 100% sleep all night with wifi on and connected.

You can see after 8 hours where I began using the device again today.

This is a speedtest while using USB Tether (android wired tether) and my source was my wifi internet...(no 3G in my area).

I knew the issue was not my kernel, it's gingerbread.

Could someone please test USB Tether and let me know if it's working over 3G on deprimed please?

Is working, I am using it now. Although the wifi tether app did not work and neither did the tethering option in CM, I am on build 25 btw

ya that works, thanks

I figured it would, your welcome.

I will update the OP to include links to Wired/Wireless Tether, why on earth anyone would want to use the integrated USB tethering..it provides no statistics.

Ok, I have some problems. I downloaded your newest kernels. I am on pe 4.2 froyo. Every time I flash your kernel 3G stops and I lose my signal. I tried everything I could think of to get it back. The only thing that seems to work is to reflash 4.2. I don't want to lose all my themeing, can you help?

Try running fix permissions in Rom Manager, I am unsure what all the permissions should be for every file..perhaps the script will correct what my previous kernel installation routine did. I do apologize for changing the permissions all to 755 in /system/bin.

I don't know if your primed kernel is suppose to help with the wired tether issue, but after downloading the apk you linked to, it still doesn't work. Haven't tried it with your deprimed kernel however.

I really like your primed kernel though. Load averages have been significantly lower (around half less). Wireless tether and wifi work great too.

The links and information were in relation to deprimed.

The 20overclock file that is created with "primed" can be edited as well, allowing for additional customization that will load at boot.
