[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

Just switched to CM7 RC2 yesterday and just downloaded this kernel... came from MIUI/P3. Once I get my corp email to stop dieing, I'll be happy :)

The battery life is likely going to decrease, it's extremely difficult to increase performance further without decreasing battery life.

I can back down the performance and stretch the life out through scripting but I am tired of scripting everything in the kernel, I feel it's time to work on an app to control the majority of it...then a full CM based ROM to insert it all into.

This process will take time, I appreciate everyones patience and understanding while I focus on writing the android app. I believe the kernels I have out currently (deprimed_previous {just in case}, deprimed, primed, and my old reprimed) have reached a point where I can work toward my ultimate goal of a tightly nit, performance packing ROM with an android based controller application (for overclocking, undervolting, swap, apps2ext..etc..etc). I had planned on simply scripting the kernel for various voltages/speeds but in the end I realize that this simply will not work on all ROM's as they do not have the proper commands (or for other reasons).

What do you guys think about a full package like I've lightly described?

DL #25 using bumblebee with CPUtuner, seem to be getting better battery life went 3-4 hours with just checking email couple times, few phone calls, couple of texts & on internet for hour or so with no drop in battery level, remained at 100% whole time. Also seems fast, no lag whatsoever ever.

I like the prospect of what you've described. Sounds like a beast.

Thanks for all the hard work.

Prime, you got my support. I've been looking forward to this progression for some time.

On-demand governor on latest deprimed is working great for me, by the way. Quick, smooth, and nice power use.

Thanks,

Jason

A CybertronMod ROM? Lol.

If anyone could do it, you could Prime. I sent a small angel investment your way via paypal.

Thanks Jason, I appreciate you testing ondemand and letting me know how it does on battery life compared to before.

Have you guys never noticed when you change from ondemand to say interactive and then back that the device would be laggy?

This is the 300000/30000 issue I was referring to, to see what I mean install any other kernel and switch from ondemand to another governor, then back to on demand, open the advanced tab in SetCPU (assuming you have it) and look at the Sampling Rate - It will be 300000 instead of 30000, I always thought this was a SetCPU bug (and complained to the author many times). The bug was in the ondemand governor kernel code, sorry to Michael Huang (SetCPU author).

This newest kernel is ridiculously good. Never has a kernel made so much of a difference in performance for my phone.
