[KERNEL] Kernel (deprimed_test) - Break It If You Can

The latest deprimed_test also fixed the USB Mass Storage problem for me using Winner00's CM7-#39.
I always run with stock voltage though as it seems to run cooler on my phone than running "primed." Still running nice and cool and as fast as ever.

Thanks prime and nicely done! :pint:

primed_test runs so beautifully for me, regardless of GB ROM. Especially after running the "primed" command. Is the one in the OP the latest?

I haven't had luck with reprimed, but I might give this updated one a shot. Is it "primed" by default? (ULV, 20overclock, etc)?

It is not primed by default. This kernel has a lot in common with primed, primed is a hand configured kernel as well.

Which would you recommend for someone that loved primed but hasn't had stability in the past with reprimed?

Also, I don't seem to have the option to mount USB... is this kernel related?

I've been loving your kernels prime, I appreciate your work so much.

Reprimed is not my kernel (not from source anyway), it is the stock CM6/7 mtwebster kernel that I modified...(an integration of compcache and overclock).

I recommend using primed if you have no issues, although you should at least try deprimed stock..then try it 'primed'...I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

It's related to gingerbread, as USB was working fine until recently.

Wait, I'm sorry, I meant I haven't had luck with deprimed in the past. I apologize for the mixup. primed has been amazing to me except it seems that I can't mount usb.

And if the USB situation has nothing to do with the kernel, then I'm sorry I posted anything about it. primed_test has been my favorite kernel in the history of the D1.

No apology necessary, it's my kernel naming conventions that gets confusing.

It has something to do with the kernel, the USB gadget source...I just don't yet fully understand what changed in CM7 that requires the updated USB gadget source.

So lets just say for now it's a ROM/Kernel issue, as primed/deprimed/stock kernels worked (on gingerbread) over USB prior to now.

Could you look in the /proc directory while running primed and see if there is a file called config.gz? If the config.gz is there I can likely do an update for primed (I lost all my source a while back and am not sure if I included this functionality in primed). I need that configuration file to do a proper update.

Yes, there is a config.gz in /proc. I am running primed_test with the "primed" command in terminal emulator.

I've attached it here. (had to add .zip to upload it)

Good deal, I appreciate you uploading it. It may be a day or more before I can get primed updated.

No worries sir, thank you for all you do. I'm looking forward to the update. Like I said, best kernel I've used since I bought the D1 on release day.

+1

Thanks from me as well, prime!

First off prime, thanks for all your hard work. You are a machine! I hope moving fwd we hear nothing but good luck has come your way. You deserve it.

I tried reading the past few pages and got kind of confused. So with your latest deprimed and latest official nightly, is wifi and usb working now?
