Just to clarify, this download is the new CM9 build with the kernel inside or just the safestrap itself? I have not heard anything else from hash on his site or his twitter.

Yes this is a new cm9 build. You need to install the new safestrap first, then flash the new build. Don't expect alot to work though, sound doesn't work at all and it still has codec issues. I tried netflix and it still has no video, youtube wouldn't work at all. Still it loaded and ran faster than the old cm9 builds.

Awesome thanks for the heads up. Hash said he was going to post on his site about it but don't think he got around to it. I can't wait til all the fixes become available, man oh man I want ICS or even better Jelly Bean on the D3 ^_^

I dont know of the general awareness but i couldnt get 3g data or switch the network to anythng but WCDMA. also i could only pull wifi data through browser (all downloads fail however) and when i installed gapps the play store wouldnt connect.

The 3G is known.....I had issues with DLs through the browser too, but the play store worked fine for me. It is a broken build, but its not meant as a daily driver. It'll get there....

No the kexec is in the ROM. The new safestrap enables the boot of the new kernel. At least that's my understanding.

That's good news....i'll wait for a new ROM with some other fixes as well. Its a solid start though that's for sure.
