Keyboard adding words

Every time I type fast my keyboard will double words, like adding another of the word I just typed because it's trying to predict my whole sentence. I'll end up with sentences like "when when does it start?" It's very frustrating. Also, the keyboard kind of lags when I type fast. I use the default keyboard and it's been doing this since before I got 4.4.2 but it got worse with the update. Any suggestions? Thanks

Could it be some sort of a keyboard preference setting? On some keyboards hitting the space bar selects the Autocorrect word. Maybe there's some setting like that that is entering the next word before you're ready?

Are you using stock keyboard or another keyboard? I was reading some reviews for one keyboard on the Play Store that said it was giving the user double word entries after KitKat. That could be your problem.
