Keyboard doesn't work

Whenever I try to type anything on the keyboard it sends me to various locations on my phone based on what key I hit, like if I hit c it sends me to my contacts. How do you fix this?

make sure your actually in the area that allows for typing. sometimes i forget to do this as well and it sends me out of whatever window i'm in

Your search button on your keyboard is probably stuck down. There are shortcuts on your keyboard by holding the search button (on the keyboard) and pressing letters. Hope this helped
