Kit Kat Has Been Ported Over To The Droid X!

This is why I have always been a strong advocate of the Android Rom and Mod community. The Droid X has been end of lifed now for more than 2 years but developers still push out new roms for the device on a pretty regular basis. While development for the phone has nearly died off completely any of you with the phone can run the latest and greatest version of Android even though Motorola hasn't officially updated this device in well over a year!

Developer "Aaahh" has released his build of Cyanogen Mod 11 bringing a nearly stable version of Kit Kat to the dinosaur device! You will need the Droid2Bootstrapper to install the rom which has also been included in the rom thread. The full rom install guide can be found at the link below.

I do miss my old DroidX. The screen finally broke and I recycled it but I would definitely have it still if it didn't break. Maybe not as my actual phone but a working device for sure.
