Good morning my favorite forum friends [emoji3448] ! Sorry for my absence. I guess I have been almost to the point of being overwhelmed.
Spent a bit over 3 weeks in Pennsylvania helping my daughter. Her husband had his surgery, but many complications, and he spent almost all my time there in the hospital, including a week in ICU.
He is home now and healing slowly. My wife is back there now helping out.
After looking at 4 homes, we decided on a new construction. Hopefully we can break ground next month.
My day job remains chaotic but I think it is helping me prepare for retirement this year [emoji23]
Working on getting my home prepped for sale, which is becoming scary. Had a pre inspection last Friday and have a long list of things to do. I guess first this is determine which we should fix and the rest disclose.
Anyway, sorry again for the long absence.
Oh, have a funeral this morning .. full military honors. My heart goes out to the family morning the loss of our brave heroes that give the ultimate sacrifice for us all. FTW

My friend no need to apologize we miss you around here but as we can see you have plenty going on in your life.. I know everything will work out in God's hands always.. speedy recovery to the son-in-law.. and I know it can be hectic with house selling as well as getting into a new home so I wish you the best with your completion into a new beautiful home.. condolences to that family as they go through the funeral and the lost of a brave family member.. As a contractor it was nice to have my contacts for the items I couldn't do in a timely matter.
Remember, it's typically cheaper and faster to take a few dollars off the price of the home, and have the new owner do the work. Unless it's a safety item, which must be done for the sale.
With prices of homes in the San Diego area remaining high, hopefully you are still making out well!

@socal droid prayers for complete recovery for your son in law. You definitely have a lot going on.
