Latest Update

Taking the plunge right now. Going to have to re-root with aRoot it seems. Oh well. Will report on the AS issue in a couple days. Mine has been terrible for the past 36 hours or so. Delays of several hours.

I had a couple technical glitches with my upgrade but it appears everything's straightened out now. The first issue was that my CorporateSync email was completely broken after the update. I had to delete my account and re-create it to get that working again. I will update later on whether the CorporateSync problem is actually fixed with timely push email delivery.

The other issue I had was that until I got root working again, my phone would keep rebooting into ClockworkMod Recovery. I had to root (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE USB DEBUGGING ENABLED), then reflash Droid2 Bootstrapper.

So far, so good...

So easy , just connect ur device in usb mode(media sync) , wait untill your laptop recognize and click on the aroot.bat it will be rooted within seconds afterwards it will be rebooted.

Ok cool. Thanks for the quick response. One last question, when I download aroot, the file extension is ".7z", not ".bat". Does it need to be unzipped or something? Just edit the extension? Thanks again.
Just Unzipit/unrar and you will find inside it a batch called aroot.bat for rootingand unroot.bat for unrooting

This is not working for me. The CMD runs, but the phone never reboots. What am I doing wrong?

Correct me if I am wrong, but the first thing I noticed is that if the phone is in silent mode when powering it on, the DROOOOIIID sound is muted!

Hooray!

Same here, but when I ran aroot the second time, it worked!

Settings - Applications - Development - Check Allow USB Debugging.

I had the same issue until I realized I'd turned off USB Debugging. After that, it worked for me first try with my phone connected in "Charge Only" mode. You can select this by pulling down the status bar and tapping the USB item when it's plugged in.

For me, batteyr life is much better, after 9 hrs and usage as usual , its now 70% (extended battery)

Likewise. Just under 10 hours and just dropped to 50%. 8 of those 10 hours have been in a place where I have a terrible signal. I would usually be at 30%.

Similar results here. I had kind of suspected that the Pros crappy battery life was a software issue, since a non 4G phone with a relatively small screen shouldn't have been so power hungry.

I wasn't sure how I felt about Motorola, but this update may have put them back into my good graces!
