Atom! Poor little Atom gets no love on this forum. Does 98% of what Nova does but does it smoother.
And there's no PRO version you have to pay for.

I used Atom before I bought NP and it is indeed very good, but I didn't like not being able to disable that clock/google search that's part of the UI, reason being I like to make my own full screen widgets with their own clock and search functions
