After I exit an application the home screen goes blank for a few seconds (only displaying the wallpaper) before the icons pop back up. It does the same thing after making a call too. It's only annoying if I am trying to use more than one app at a time or if making back to back calls. Does this happen to anyone else?

I had done a factory restart and didn't load any other Launcher apps besides LauncherPro. I'm getting a lot of FC messages, even when the phone is sitting idle.

Been using LauncherPro for a few days now and I'm blown away. So snappy and responsive. IMO, it's how Helix should be.

This is the ONLY reason I switched from Launcher Pro to ADW. It was terribly annoying and unproductive. This does not happen with ADW (live wallpapers or regular)

That used to happen to me before I enabled Spare Parts' 'Attempt to Keep Home App in Memory' option. Never happened again. Your mileage may vary.

I love LauncherPro, and I'm willing to buy a donate version if the developer wants to make a buck or two. It's greatly enhanced the day-to-day enjoyment of my phone.

Ive been using Launcher Pro for the last week now. Ive tried the others but I keep coming back to this one. Running 5 screens with Bugless Beast v1.1 and the 800MHz LV kernel. Custom boot animation Droid Shatter Unstable too.

Id like to see the option to hide the icon text like ADW.

For those having Force Close issues, try disabling custom skins from Android Agenda Widget. Another user suggested that and it's working perfectly for me.

Excuse me for not reading through all the posts, but I just installed this and so far, I'm loving it.

However, if I want to drop a home screen, am I going to have to redo all the work I've done to personalize it?

No, actually.

Earlier this week I did a 'Reset to Defaults' and it killed my screens from 5 to 3. I thought I had lost everything on screens 4 and 5, but when I changed the screens to 5, everything was still there. I was mightily impressed.

Right now ADW and LP are the top of the class for home replacements.

ADW is a bit snappier for me, it is more customizable than LP. LP has the four main docked shortcuts vs. 2 (+6 "hidden") in ADW, and has a cool "fly in/out" feature for screen previews.

now if I want to go back and forth between the launchers, how do I set either one as default? and what settings are saved as far as the launchers go? the layout of my screens? widgets?

After a full day of heavy use, I did not have a single Force Close message. LauncherPro FTW!

Get Home Switcher from the market...

I've found Launcher Pro to be faster and smoother over time than ADW, but you should try both, as results cam vary.

Make sure you only have widgets on one of then at a time, or you nay have performance issues.

It's close between LPro and ADW, but LauncherPro definitely runs faster and smoother on my Droid.

I had an issue with LP when I set the icons after a while they would go back to colorless.I do like it but I use ADW right now and with the optimal settings it is very snappy and smooth.+the hidden dock is nice.I will stick with it for now.
