LauncherPro Beta (SUPER FAST & SMOOTH Launcher!)

how do u get launcher pro to work with power strip, i want the launcher pro plus, but i heard power strip only works with the adw launcher which i don't really like (very laggy)

You do not need a paypal account.

Click on the link to purchase Launcher Pro.

On the right side of the screen is the Paypal login and on the left side there is an option to pay with a credit card if you do not have a Paypal account.

Thats what I did and got the download info emailed in about 5 minutes.

And the evidence that sending your credit card number out into cyberspace is more secure than PayPal because????

So you don't buy anything on the internet?

Yes, I do. Sorry, if I was unclear. I'm just amused by those who are reluctant to use a service such as paypal that has a mountain of security built into its infrastructure but think nothing of sending their credit card information to a merchant they know nothing about.

As it happens, a couple of years ago I had an unauthorized charge on my PayPal account. I would probably not have known anything about it if PayPal hadn't notified me and tracked down the problem proactively.

All in all, I'm mystified by how much paranoia exists about this issue. Identity theft and unauthorized credit card use is definitely a major problem. But when the same people who worry about using a credit card (or paypal) on the internet hand their credit card to a waitperson in a restaurant, I have to wonder where the greater risk lies.

My fault I misunderstood your post, this one clears it up, and I have to agree with you!

Agreed, I had a friend who went to the Burger King drive thru and glanced over and noticed the cashier putting a piece of paper on top of his card and scribbling over it with a pencil. Once he had the number/date copied he put it in his pocket. My friend called the manager over, told him to have the kid empty his pockets, etc, etc.

The point is, paypal is more secure than fast food restaurants LOL

Who said I give my credit card to anyone in a restaurant? I don't, BTW. Nor do I give it out on the Internet. My bank has a service that generates "virtual" account numbers which are useless if anyone gets hold of them.

Anybody have problems with photos in the people widget on the LauncherPro Plus? Any of my favorites that are linked to facebook will not show a photo. Even if I use a photo off my phone. Ideas?

Installed Yesterday

I installed it yesterday and I think that Android should replace the default launcher with Launcher Pro in 3.0 Gingerbread! dancedroid

Division of labor. I have Power Strip launching from long press of the search button and LP as my default home app. Didn't like double tapping the home button for PS (or Quick Desk, which I tried first) anyway. Just in case, though, go into PS and choose LP as the app it calls for home.

OK, I noticed something the other day and was just thinking it was a Beautiful Widgets issue, but now I am starting to think it might be something else. I have noticed that for the past week or so, BW locks up, and it doesn’t seem to update. So I was turning the phone off then back on and everything was good. A few days ago I had to do it like 4 times. Well the past few days I have noticed it again every now and then. I had to do it once yesterday, and I just did it again a few mins ago. Now before everyone starts asking “Why are you posting a BW issue in the LauncherPro thread?” I noticed that my other widgets were also not updating. I have Gmail Unread count widget on my homescreen right below BW Smaller Home, and that wasn’t updated either. It was saying I had 1 email but when I clicked on it I had 8 unread emails. Now I am not sure if this was an issue with BW, LP, or just my dumb luck. Now I know there is a thread going already about BW, but has anyone else noticed other widgets not working correctly while running LP? Sorry for the wall of text, but I just wanted to ask.

so i have a question, since i bought the paid version of launcher plus, since you pay him via paypal and the app is not on the market, how do i get future updates.

ukyfan -- I think you are right; I am having the same issue with Weather and Toggle Widgets. I thought it was due to their update but I rolled back and I'm still getting the freezes. Going to email Fede I think.
