My unlocked G3 should arrive tomorrow to replace the Droid 2 Global. It will probably be activated this weekend. Aside from learning a totally new system, I’m concerned about transferring some data to the G3. Specifically, data in the following apps:
DejaOffice – a contact manager & calendar that syncs with ACT on the computer.
Runtastic - a cycling app that logs ride time, speed, maps, etc.
StockQuote - a stock investment tracker. I can re-enter all the symbols, shares, etc. but would rather not.
Handcent - I’d like to keep some of the texts from the Droid 2.
Titanium Backup is installed on the Droid 2. Can I back up the above data, root the G3, install Titanium Backup, and restore? Is there a better way? And will the Droid 2’s SD card fit into the LG G3. If not, I can copy the backup files to my computer then to the G3 I suppose.
Aside from what I'm reading/learning here in the forum, is there anything else I should know?
Please forgive the ignorance. It’s been five years since I got the Droid 2 and I don’t keep up with this stuff as much as most of you do. Thank you.
